This time, I would like to introduce Gu-chan, my rescue cat.
There is a cute story behind her name. Whenever Gu-chan comes close to me, she makes a soft “goo-goo” sound as she approaches. Her little voice is so cute that I naturally started calling her “Gu-chan.”
Gu-chan came to live with me as a rescue cat. She has now become comfortable with life at home and enjoys her days in a calm and peaceful way. She has a very gentle personality. Rather than running around all the time, she often prefers to quietly stay close to me.
My favorite time with Gu-chan is when we go to sleep.
When I get into bed at night, Gu-chan comes close to me. She always sleeps right beside me. She does not need to do anything special. She simply stays next to me, and somehow that makes me feel very relaxed and happy.
Living with a rescue cat has made me appreciate the simple moments of everyday life even more. Seeing Gu-chan come toward me with her soft “goo-goo” sound, or watching her sleep peacefully beside me, may seem like a small thing. But these moments are very precious to me.
A cat does not need to say anything to make us feel connected. Sometimes, simply being there is enough.
I hope to continue sharing many peaceful and happy moments with Gu-chan.
今回ご紹介するのは、我が家の保護猫「グーちゃん」です。
グーちゃんという名前には、ちょっと可愛らしい由来があります。グーちゃんは私の近くに来るとき、「グーグー」と小さな声で鳴きながら寄ってきます。その鳴き声がとても可愛くて、いつの間にか「グーちゃん」と呼ぶようになりました。
保護猫として我が家に来たグーちゃんですが、今ではすっかり家の生活にも慣れ、穏やかに毎日を過ごしています。とても優しい性格で、いつも元気に走り回るというより、静かに私のそばにいてくれるタイプです。
そして、私が一番好きなのは、一緒に寝るときのグーちゃんです。
夜になって布団に入ると、グーちゃんも近くにやってきます。そして、いつも私のすぐそばで一緒に寝てくれます。特別なことをするわけではありません。ただ、そばにいてくれる。それだけで、とても心が癒されます。
保護猫との暮らしを始めてから、毎日の何気ない時間の大切さを感じるようになりました。「グーグー」と鳴きながら近づいてくる姿も、隣で安心したように眠っている姿も、私にとって大切な日常の一コマです。
これからもグーちゃんと一緒に、穏やかで幸せな時間を過ごしていきたいと思います。
